Thanks for your thoughtful response, Jim!

I like you how depicted the fact that faith is a gift. One of the commentators I was looking at and preparing some notes for my sermon suggested that the disciples being opened was not something they could have done on their own - it was a gift. God was doing something in their midst beyond their own power.

I love ssahm - one of the best food trucks in the Metroplex. Most people rave about the Kimchee fires - and they are good, but pretty gooey. I actually like the tacos the best.

Great thoughts Nathan. I look forward to your sermon Sunday. My comments are shown below. God bless, Jim

I see faith first as a supernatural gift of God's grace. It is opened by God to those who believe in Christ...closed by God to those that don't believe. It seems to me that faith is very flexible in that God gives us a lot of room to explore how it works.

Striving for the holiness of God requires separation from the outside world (non-Christian world) in thought and belief, but not in actions. I think that is one of the things Christ shows us over and over. Obedience to the Father always...but love and care for all we meet in the outside world.

The resurrection does make sense to me. It is the fullfillment of the prophesies and God's plan. John 3:16
I believe in the supernatural power of God and the resurrection is the ultimate proof of God's power over death. It is obvious that the secular world of today does not believe it and many present day Christians are not comfortable talking about it, but my belief in the resurrection has not changedsince I cam to Christ as a youth
